About WMBA
Founded in 2016 by local business owners and community leaders, West McNichols Business Association emerged from the entrepreneurial energy and resilience of Detroit’s northwest neighborhoods.
What began as informal gatherings of local merchants has grown into a coalition of more than 200 businesses—ranging from long-standing family-owned establishments to new and emerging enterprises—working together to strengthen the West McNichols business corridor and the surrounding residential neighborhoods.
2026 marks the Ten-Year Anniversary of the West McNichols Business Association.
